About House District 103

Population

District 103 stretches through four cities in North Texas: Dallas, Irving, Farmers Branch and Carrollton. The district runs through various neighborhoods that include, among others, Oak Cliff, West Dallas, La Bajada, and North Park. There are approximately 132,000 residents that call District 103 home.

School Districts

Inside district 103 are three school districts. Dallas Independent School District, Irving Independent School District and Carrollton-Farmer Branch Independent School District.

Elections

Elections are conducted by The Dallas County Elections Department. In 2010, the primary elections will be held on March 2nd. The general elections will be held on November 2nd. Further election information can be found on the Secretary of State website or the Dallas County Democratic Party website.

A total of 44 voting precincts are located inside district 103 and in 2008 Representative Anchía overwhelming won his third term with 88% of the vote.
