88th Legislative Session Update

Dear Friends and Neighbors

Thank you for permitting our team to represent you a the Texas Capitol. Serving you in Austin is the honor of a lifetime and one that requires serious and professional commitment. We work hard to project the values of diverse communities in Dallas, Irving, Farmers Branch, and Carrollton and want you to feel well-served.

Regrettably, during the 88th Legislative Session, Texas enacted laws that hurt many of our families. These include book bans, actions targeting LGBTQ Texans, the elimination of diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, and the further erosion of local government authority. And despite a record budget surplus, the Legislature failed to increase teacher pay, fix our electric grid and enact common sense gun safety laws. We share your disappointment with these outcomes and lost hard fights against them. Nonetheless, our work resulted in some notable achievements which we would like to share with you here.
